Manama skyline and Bahrain Bay waterfront

Areas I cover

Bahrain’s waterfront communities.

Each community has its own character, price points and running costs. Here is an overview of where I work most — and I’m happy to help you compare them.

01 · Island living

Amwaj Islands

A group of man-made islands off the north-east coast of Muharraq, Amwaj was one of the first developments in Bahrain opened to foreign freehold ownership. Residents enjoy lagoons, beaches, a marina and a café and restaurant scene around The Lagoon, with a calmer pace than the city.

02 · Within Amwaj

Tala Island

Tala Island is a residential part of Amwaj Islands with a quieter, more residential feel than the busier lagoon and marina areas. It appeals to buyers and tenants who want to be close to the water and to Amwaj’s amenities while keeping some distance from the bustle.

05 · Waterfront island

About ownership: many developments in these communities are marketed as freehold for non-Bahrainis, but eligibility depends on your nationality, the specific property and its location. It should always be confirmed for the exact property — see freehold property for sale in Bahrain.
